The Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) invited stakeholders for a public consultation forum on the Connected Kenya ICT Masterplan 2017. The forum was held on 20th March 14 at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies to provide an opportunity to Share views on the draft document of the ICT Master Plan .
The Masterplan, was first launched in February 2013 is a five (5) year plan and details the government ICT led strategy. In November 2013, a National ICT Master plan taskforce was put together to review the current Connected Kenya 2017 ICT master plan and are about to complete this task. DotConnectAfrica Trust a Kenyan based company endeavored to contribute its ideas and submitted the comments to the forum. DotConnectAfrica and its Principal and Members have in the past have worked or been advisors with International organizations giving advice on various developmental issues as well as legislations and policies.
The outcome of the review process is expected to be a comprehensive new document that will guide the management of ICT in the country.
