Back in January 2020, a LinkedIn study identified soft skills that employees should have: creativity, persuasion, collaboration, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. With the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic infiltrating everyone’s lives in some form, soft skills are being put to the test as enterprises seek to maintain operations.
Even without a global pandemic, soft skills are challenged — especially among companies undergoing a digital transformation, which involves tackling new tasks and working with teams throughout the organization.

Internet companies now walk a tightrope in trying to generate revenue or improve their services by supplying user data to other companies because they risk compromising – or appearing to compromise – data privacy. Google and Facebook have curtailed access to data by outside companies over the past two years.
Data-sharing arrangements between tech companies became common over the past decade as the use of smartphones and apps exploded, but what data is collected and how it is shared is not always clear to users. Companies often are not explicit about their data sharing. As users demand greater transparency, what constitutes a violation of consumer trust is not clear.
Google has however maintained a tough stance saying it shared neither aggregated nor individualized data on user demographics and app usage. The company rejected requests to give equipment vendors any data maintaining that the data it collects is strictly to provide better recommendations and more personalized experiences in maps , search and other google services.
