Innovators Challenge: AI & Digital Solutions for Africa
The DCA Academy Innovators Challenge is an exciting program designed to empower young minds across Africa to propose innovative AI and digital solutions to real-world challenges facing the continent. This initiative will allow students, professionals, and innovators to showcase their problem-solving skills and creativity, while also advancing knowledge in AI, Digital marketing, Web development, and Cybersecurity.
Objective:
The goal is to foster talent and innovative thinking by encouraging participants to develop tech-driven solutions to African challenges in various sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, and finance.
Key Components:
- AI & Tech Problem Solving:
Participants are invited to submit proposals for AI-driven or digital solutions aimed at solving one or more specific problems in African communities (e.g., improving access to education, healthcare, or enhancing agricultural productivity). - Proposal Writing:
Applicants must submit a proposal outlining their digital solution, its expected impact, and steps to implement it. The proposal should highlight the technical aspects and broader societal benefits of their idea. - Hackathon for Finalists:
The top finalists will be invited to a virtual hackathon where they will collaborate with mentors and experts to develop a prototype or pitch their solution. The hackathon will focus on refining their ideas with guidance from DCA professionals in AI, Web development, Digital Marketing, Mobile development, and cybersecurity. - Special Prizes:
Winners of the challenge will receive:

- 500 USD for the winner
- Possibility of Internships with DCA Corporate Bootcamp.
- Access to mentorship and networking opportunities.
- Scholarships for advanced courses in AI and Digital Marketing at DCA Academy.
- A chance to present their projects at a DCA-hosted conference or event.

How to Participate:
- Submit a proposal of minimum of 2,000 words outlining your idea to: eoi@dotconnectafrica.org
- Proposals must focus on using AI, Digital Marketing or digital tools to tackle issues specific to African communities.
- Applicants can participate individually or in teams of up to three members.
- A panel of experts will judge submissions based on innovation, feasibility, and impact.
