Job Description: Webmaster
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Webmaster to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our websites and servers. As a Webmaster, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, security, and efficiency of our web infrastructure, including DNS services.Responsibilities:

1. WordPress Maintenance:

Manage and update WordPress installations for client websites.
Install, configure, and maintain WordPress plugins and themes.
Ensure that all WordPress websites are up-to-date with the latest versions and security patches.
Troubleshoot and resolve any WordPress-related issues promptly.

2. Brute Force Attack Mitigation:

Implement security measures to safeguard websites from brute force attacks and hacking attempts.
Monitor server logs and intrusion detection systems to identify and counteract potential threats.
Work with the development team to fortify the overall security posture of web applications

3. Server Administration and Monitoring:

Perform regular server maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and system optimizations.
Monitor server performance, resource usage, and uptime to ensure optimal website performance.
Troubleshoot server-related issues and coordinate with hosting providers as needed.

4. DNS Services:

Manage domain name system (DNS) services for the organization and clients, including DNS record configurations and updates.
Ensure DNS settings are correctly configured to optimize website availability and performance.
Troubleshoot DNS-related issues and resolve DNS propagation problems.

5. Virtualization:

Utilize virtualization technologies to manage and scale web applications efficiently.
Implement virtual servers and containers to enhance the reliability and flexibility of hosting environments.
Optimize server resources through virtualization for cost-effectiveness.

6. Tech Support:

Provide technical support to the organization and clients, assisting them with website-related inquiries and issues.
Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer support tickets in a timely and professional manner.

7. Professional Emails:

Manage and configure email accounts using professional email services.
Ensure email deliverability and security by implementing spam filters and authentication protocols.
Troubleshoot email-related problems and assist with email setup on various devices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in WordPress website maintenance and administration.
Familiarity with website security practices and techniques to mitigate brute force attacks and other security threats.
Proficiency in server administration and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of DNS services and domain management.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Docker.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
Prior experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting customer inquiries.
Understanding of email systems and their configurations.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in WordPress administration or related fields.
Experience with server virtualization and cloud infrastructure platforms.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and methodologies.
Familiarity with cPanel/WHM or other hosting control panels.
Understanding of web analytics tools for website performance analysis.
