It was a great pleasure to attend the 10 Anniversary of the GRC2023 Conference in Las Vegas last week, organized together with #ISACA and the #IIA at the MGM Grand.

I presented to the esteemed audience of Governance, RISK, and Control professionals from across the world on my chosen topic: “Digital Trust: Protect Your Digital Risk or Get “Cancelled”. The content was premised on the fact that the “cancelled” culture prays on those in positions of power or influence and want to hold them accountable for their actions or opinions held, and stop supporting their brand, and what measures brands or organizations should take to protect their risk in this regard and how cyber security can play a role.I also shared some of the expert opinions that came out from the DCA Webforum last year – a roundtable of global cyber security experts we put together on the topic of

“long-term solutions to curb Cybercrime”

Overall the three-day event held in Las Vegas gave us an opportunity to learn new things from each other and navigate challenges and explore solutions.The event started with a high-energy and insightful #keynote by Shawn Kanungo. He talked about how to Innovate and Disrupt Ourselves by being BOLD, my favorite subject, so we Become More Dynamic and Valuable to whomever we work for or in our pursuit in life. His stage presentation was certainly BOLD and a hard act to follow.

I always love the face-to-face meetings and networking and making connections, sharing insights and ideas with experts from around the world, as well as exploring new technologies from the vendors sponsoring the events.
